    [jnd] I testify before God and Christ Jesus, who is about to judge living and dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom,
    [kjv] I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
    [nwb] I charge therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

    [ylt] I do fully testify, then, before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is about to judge living and dead at his manifestation and his reign --
    [bbe] I give you orders, before God and Christ Jesus, who will be the judge of the living and the dead, and by his revelation and his kingdom;
4:2 [cbgb] 务要传道。无论得时不得时,总要专心,并用百般的忍耐,各样的教训,责备人,警戒人,劝勉人。 < | >

    [niv] For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
    [asv] For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts;
    [jnd] For the time shall be when they will not bear sound teaching; but according to their own lusts will heap up to themselves teachers, having an itching ear;

    [web] For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts;
