    [niv] The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live.
    [asv] And Jehovah appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt. Dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of.

26:3 [cbgb] 你寄居在这地,我必与你同在,赐福给你,因为我要将这些地都赐给你和你的后裔。我必坚定我向你父亚伯拉罕所起的誓。 < | >
    [niv] Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.
    [asv] Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee. For unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father.

26:4 [cbgb] 我要加增你的后裔,像天上的星那样多,又要将这些地都赐给你的后裔。并且地上万国必因你的后裔得福 < | >
    [niv] I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed,
    [asv] And I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these lands. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.
    [jnd] And I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and unto thy seed will I give all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth bless themselves --

    [niv] because Abraham obeyed me and kept my requirements, my commands, my decrees and my laws."

    [niv] When the men of that place asked him about his wife, he said, "She is my sister," because he was afraid to say, "She is my wife." He thought, "The men of this place might kill me on account of Rebekah, because she is beautiful."
    [asv] And the men of the place asked him of his wife. And he said, She is my sister. For he feared to say, My wife. Lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah. Because she was fair to look upon.
    [jnd] And the men of the place asked about his wife. And he said, She is my sister; for he feared to say, my wife, Lest the men of the place slay me on account of Rebecca -- because she was fair in countenance.

    [bbe] And when he was questioned by the men of the place about his wife, he said, She is my sister; fearing to say, She is my wife; for, he said, the men of the place may put me to death on account of Rebekah; because she is very beautiful.

    [niv] When Isaac had been there a long time, Abimelech king of the Philistines looked down from a window and saw Isaac caressing his wife Rebekah.
    [asv] And it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac was sporting with Rebekah his wife.
    [jnd] And it came to pass when he had been there some time, that Abimelech the king of the Philistines looked out of the window, and saw, and behold, Isaac was dallying with Rebecca his wife.

    [bbe] And when he had been there for some time, Abimelech, king of the Philistines, looking through a window, saw Isaac playing with Rebekah his wife.
26:9 [cbgb] 亚比米勒召了以撒来,对他说,她实在是你的妻子,你怎麽说她是你的妹子。以撒说,我心里想,恐怕我因她而死。 < | >
    [niv] So Abimelech summoned Isaac and said, "She is really your wife! Why did you say, `She is my sister'?" Isaac answered him, "Because I thought I might lose my life on account of her."
    [asv] And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife. And how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die because of her.
    [jnd] Then Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, she is certainly thy wife; and how saidst thou, She is my sister? and Isaac said to him, Because I said, Lest I die on account of her.

    [ylt] And Abimelech calleth for Isaac, and saith, `Lo, she surely thy wife; and how hast thou said, She my sister?' and Isaac saith unto him, `Because I said, Lest I die for her.'
    [bbe] And he said to Isaac, It is clear that she is your wife: why then did you say, She is my sister? And Isaac said, For fear that I might be put to death because of her.
26:10 [cbgb] 亚比米勒说,你向我们作的是什么事呢?民中险些有人和你的妻同寝,把我们陷在罪里。 < | >
    [niv] Then Abimelech said, "What is this you have done to us? One of the men might well have slept with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us."
    [asv] And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? One of the people might easily have lain with thy wife, and thou wouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.
    [jnd] And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done to us? But a little and one of the people might have lain with thy wife, and thou wouldest have brought a trespass on us.
    [kjv] And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.
    [nwb] And Abimelech said, What this thou hast done to us? one of the people might lightly have lain with thy wife, and thou wouldst have brought guiltiness upon us.
    [rsv] Abim'elech said, "What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us."
    [web] . Abimelech said, "What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt on us!"
    [ylt] And Abimelech saith, `What this thou hast done to us? as a little thing one of the people had lain with thy wife, and thou hadst brought upon us guilt;'
    [bbe] Then Abimelech said, What have you done to us? one of the people might well have had connection with your wife, and the sin would have been ours.
26:11 [cbgb] 于是亚比米勒晓谕众民说,凡沾着这个人,或是他妻子的,定要把他治死。 < | >
    [niv] So Abimelech gave orders to all the people: "Anyone who molests this man or his wife shall surely be put to death."
    [asv] And Abimelech charged all the people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.
    [jnd] And Abimelech charged all the people, saying, He that touches this man or his wife shall certainly be put to death.

    [bbe] And Abimelech gave orders to his people that anyone touching Isaac or his wife was to be put to death.

    [niv] Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him.
    [asv] And Isaac sowed in that land, and found in the same year a hundredfold. And Jehovah blessed him.

    [niv] The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.
    [asv] And the man waxed great, and grew more and more until he became very great.

    [niv] Then Abimelech said to Isaac, "Move away from us; you have become too powerful for us."

    [niv] But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac's herdsmen and said, "The water is ours!" So he named the well Esek, because they disputed with him.
    [asv] And the herdsmen of Gerar strove with Isaac's herdsmen, saying, The water is ours. And he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him.
    [jnd] But the shepherds of Gerar strove with Isaac's shepherds, saying, The water is ours. And he called the name of the well Esek, because they had quarrelled with him.
