    [niv] Jacob heard that Laban's sons were saying, "Jacob has taken everything our father owned and has gained all this wealth from what belonged to our father."
    [asv] And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father's; and of that which was our father's hath he gotten all this glory.
    [jnd] And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob has taken away all that was our father's, and of what was our father's he has acquired all this glory.
    [kjv] And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father's; and of that which was our father's hath he gotten all this glory.

    [ylt] And he heareth the words of Laban's sons, saying, `Jacob hath taken all that our father hath; yea, from that which our father hath, he hath made all this honour;'
    [bbe] Now it came to the ears of Jacob that Laban's sons were saying, Jacob has taken away all our father's property, and in this way he has got all this wealth.

    [niv] And Jacob noticed that Laban's attitude toward him was not what it had been.
    [asv] And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as beforetime.
    [jnd] And Jacob saw the countenance of Laban, and behold, it was not toward him as previously.

    [niv] Then the LORD said to Jacob, "Go back to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you."
    [asv] And Jehovah said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.
    [jnd] And Jehovah said to Jacob, Return into the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.

    [niv] So Jacob sent word to Rachel and Leah to come out to the fields where his flocks were.

    [niv] He said to them, "I see that your father's attitude toward me is not what it was before, but the God of my father has been with me.
    [asv] and said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as beforetime; but the God of my father hath been with me.
    [jnd] and said to them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as previously; but the God of my father has been with me.
    [kjv] And said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me.
    [nwb] And said to them, I see your father's countenance, that it not towards me as before: but the God of my father hath been with me.
    [rsv] and said to them, "I see that your father does not regard me with favor as he did before. But the God of my father has been with me.
    [web] and said to them, "I see the expression on your father's face, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father has been with me.
    [ylt] and saith to them, `I am beholding your father's face -- that it is not towards me as heretofore, and the God of my father hath been with me,
    [bbe] And he said to them, It is clear to me that your father's feeling is no longer what it was to me; but the God of my father has been with me
31:6 [cbgb] 你们也知道,我尽了我的力量服事你们的父亲。 < | >
    [niv] You know that I've worked for your father with all my strength,
    [asv] And ye know that will all my power I have served your father.
    [jnd] And you know that with all my power I have served your father.

    [rsv] You know that I have served your father with all my strength;

    [niv] yet your father has cheated me by changing my wages ten times. However, God has not allowed him to harm me.
    [asv] And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.
    [jnd] And your father has mocked me, and has changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.
    [kjv] And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.

    [niv] If he said, `The speckled ones will be your wages,' then all the flocks gave birth to speckled young; and if he said, `The streaked ones will be your wages,' then all the flocks bore streaked young.
    [asv] If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the flock bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstreaked shall be thy wages; then bare all the flock ringstreaked.
    [jnd] If he said thus; The speckled shall be thy hire, then all the flocks bore speckled; and if he said thus: The ringstraked shall be thy hire, then all the flocks bore ringstraked.
    [kjv] If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked.
    [nwb] If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bore speckled: and if he said thus, The ring-streaked shall be thy hire; then all the cattle bore ring-streaked.
    [rsv] If he said, 'The spotted shall be your wages,' then all the flock bore spotted; and if he said, 'The striped shall be your wages,' then all the flock bore striped.
    [web] If he said this, 'The speckled will be your wages,' then all the flock bore speckled. If he said this, 'The streaked will be your wages,' then all the flock bore streaked.
    [ylt] `If he say thus: The speckled are thy hire, then bare all the flock speckled ones; and if he say thus: The ring-straked are thy hire, then bare all the flock ring-straked;
    [bbe] If he said, All those in the flock which have marks are to be yours, then all the flock gave birth to marked young; and if he said, All the banded ones are to be yours, then all the flock had banded young.
31:9 [cbgb] 这样, 神把你们父亲的牲畜夺来赐给我了。 < | >
    [niv] So God has taken away your father's livestock and has given them to me.
    [asv] Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.
    [jnd] And God has taken away the cattle of your father, and given to me.

    [niv] "In breeding season I once had a dream in which I looked up and saw that the male goats mating with the flock were streaked, speckled or spotted.
    [asv] And it came to pass at the time that the flock conceive, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the he-goats which leaped upon the flock were ringstreaked, speckled, and grizzled.
    [jnd] And it came to pass at the time of the ardour of the flocks, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and behold, the rams that leaped upon the flocks were ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.
    [kjv] And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked, speckled, and grisled.
    [nwb] And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up my eyes, and saw in a dream, and behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle ring-streaked, speckled, and grizzled.
    [rsv] In the mating season of the flock I lifted up my eyes, and saw in a dream that the he-goats which leaped upon the flock were striped, spotted, and mottled.
    [web] It happened at the time that the flock conceive, that I lifted up my eyes, and saw in a dream, and behold, the male goats which leaped on the flock were streaked, speckled, and grizzled.
    [ylt] `And it cometh to pass at the time of the flock conceiving, that I lift up mine eyes and see in a dream, and lo, the he-goats, which are going up on the flock, ring-straked, speckled, and grisled;
    [bbe] And at the time when the flock were with young, I saw in a dream that all the he-goats which were joined with the she-goats were banded and marked and coloured.

    [niv] The angel of God said to me in the dream, `Jacob.' I answered, `Here I am.'
    [asv] And the angel of God said unto me in the dream, Jacob: and I said, Here am I.

    [niv] And he said, `Look up and see that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or spotted, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.
    [asv] And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the he-goats which leap upon the flock are ringstreaked, speckled, and grizzled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.

    [ylt] `And He saith, Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see -- all the he-goats which are going up on the flock ring-straked, speckled, and grisled, for I have seen all that Laban is doing to thee;
    [bbe] And he said, See how all the he-goats are banded and marked and coloured: for I have seen what Laban has done to you.
31:13 [cbgb] 我是伯特利的 神。你在那里用油浇过柱子,向我许过愿。现今你起来,离开这地,回你本地去吧。 < | >
    [niv] I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and where you made a vow to me. Now leave this land at once and go back to your native land.'"
    [asv] I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointedst a pillar, where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy nativity.
    [jnd] I am the 鵊od of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, where thou vowedst a vow to me. Now arise, depart out of this land, and return to the land of thy kindred.
    [kjv] I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.

    [niv] Then Rachel and Leah replied, "Do we still have any share in the inheritance of our father's estate?
    [asv] And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house?
    [jnd] And Rachel and Leah answered and said to him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house?
    [kjv] And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house?
    [nwb] And Rachel and Leah answered, and said to him, yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house?
    [rsv] Then Rachel and Leah answered him, "Is there any portion or inheritance left to us in our father's house?
    [web] . Rachel and Leah answered him, "Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house?
    [ylt] And Rachel answereth -- Leah also -- and saith to him, `Have we yet a portion and inheritance in the house of our father?
    [bbe] Then Rachel and Leah said to him in answer, What part or heritage is there for us in our father's house?
31:15 [cbgb] 我们不是被他当作外人麽?因为他卖了我们,吞了我们的价值。 < | >
    [niv] Does he not regard us as foreigners? Not only has he sold us, but he has used up what was paid for us.
    [asv] Are we not accounted by him as foreigners? for he hath sold us, and hath also quite devoured our money.
    [jnd] Are we not reckoned of him strangers? for he has sold us, and has even constantly devoured our money.
    [kjv] Are we not counted of him strangers? for he hath sold us, and hath quite devoured also our money.
    [nwb] Are we not counted by him strangers; for he hath sold us, and hath quite consumed also our money.
    [rsv] Are we not regarded by him as foreigners? For he has sold us, and he has been using up the money given for us.
    [web] Aren't we accounted by him as foreigners? For he has sold us, and has also quite devoured our money.
    [ylt] have we not been reckoned strangers to him? for he hath sold us, and he also utterly consumeth our money;
    [bbe] Are we not as people from a strange country to him? for he took a price for us and now it is all used up.
31:16 [cbgb]  神从我们父亲所夺出来的一切财物,那就是我们和我们孩子们的。现今凡 神所吩咐你的,你只管去行吧。 < | >
    [niv] Surely all the wealth that God took away from our father belongs to us and our children. So do whatever God has told you."
    [asv] For all the riches which God hath taken away from our father, that is ours and our children's: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do.
    [jnd] For all the wealth that God has taken from our father is ours and our children's; and now whatever God has said to thee do.
    [kjv] For all the riches which God hath taken from our father, that is ours, and our children's: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do.
    [nwb] For all the riches which God hath taken from our father, that ours, and our children's: now then whatever God hath said to thee, do.

    [niv] Then Jacob put his children and his wives on camels,
    [asv] Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon the camels;

31:18 [cbgb] 又带着他在巴旦亚兰所得的一切牲畜和财物,往迦南地,他父亲以撒那里去了。 < | >
    [niv] and he drove all his livestock ahead of him, along with all the goods he had accumulated in Paddan Aram, to go to his father Isaac in the land of Canaan.
    [asv] and he carried away all his cattle, and all his substance which he had gathered, the cattle of his getting, which he had gathered in Paddan-aram, to go to Isaac his father unto the land of Canaan.
    [jnd] and carried away all his cattle, and all his property that he had acquired -- the cattle of his possessions that he had acquired in Padan-Aram, to go to Isaac his father, into the land of Canaan.
    [kjv] And he carried away all his cattle, and all his goods which he had gotten, the cattle of his getting, which he had gotten in Padanaram, for to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan.
    [nwb] And he carried away all his cattle, and all his goods which he had gained, the cattle of his getting, which he had gained in Padan-aram; to go to Isaac, his father, in the land of Canaan.
    [rsv] and he drove away all his cattle, all his livestock which he had gained, the cattle in his possession which he had acquired in Paddan-aram, to go to the land of Canaan to his father Isaac.

    [bbe] And sending on before him all his cattle and his property which he had got together in Paddan-aram, he made ready to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan.

    [niv] When Laban had gone to shear his sheep, Rachel stole her father's household gods.
    [asv] Now Laban was gone to shear his sheep: and Rachel stole the teraphim that were her father's.
    [jnd] And Laban had gone to shear his sheep. And Rachel stole the teraphim that to her father.
    [kjv] And Laban went to shear his sheep: and Rachel had stolen the images that were her father's.

    [bbe] Now Laban had gone to see to the cutting of the wool of his sheep; so Rachel secretly took the images of the gods of her father's house.

    [niv] Moreover, Jacob deceived Laban the Aramean by not telling him he was running away.
    [asv] And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.
    [jnd] And Jacob deceived Laban the Syrian, in that he did not tell him that he fled.
    [kjv] And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.
    [nwb] And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he was about to depart.
    [rsv] And Jacob outwitted Laban the Aramean, in that he did not tell him that he intended to flee.
    [web] . Jacob deceived Laban the Syrian, in that he didn't tell him that he was running away.
    [ylt] and Jacob deceiveth the heart of Laban the Aramaean, because he hath not declared to him that he is fleeing;
    [bbe] And Jacob went away secretly, without giving news of his flight to Laban the Aramaean.
31:21 [cbgb] 就带着所有的逃跑。他起身过大河,面向基列山行去。 < | >
    [niv] So he fled with all he had, and crossing the River, he headed for the hill country of Gilead.
    [asv] So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the River, and set his face toward the mountain of Gilead.
    [jnd] And he fled with all that he had; and he rose up and passed over the river, and set his face mount Gilead.

    [bbe] So he went away with all he had, and went across the River in the direction of the hill-country of Gilead.

    [niv] On the third day Laban was told that Jacob had fled.

    [niv] Taking his relatives with him, he pursued Jacob for seven days and caught up with him in the hill country of Gilead.
    [asv] And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days' journey; and he overtook him in the mountain of Gilead.
